ITESM (Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey) is the QS World University Ranking #1 private university in Mexico and #28 in the world. The University engaged with SISAMEX, a world-class automotive manufacturer for technology consulting services.

Challenge

Managing quality processes in production lines is essential to ensure fewer mistakes and false starts in the operation. ITESM and SISAMEX aimed to conceptualize a technology alternative to empower operators with real-time data and increase proactiveness in the department.

The Solution

ITESM hired Kirana Labs to participate in the conceptualization of the solution. In collaboration with SISAMEX’s IT department, Kirana Labs’ software teams designed, developed, and deployed a mobile application that was released on IOS and Android devices. The mobile application receives real-time data from the manufacturing line and displays KPIs according to the quality parameters set by the company.
